This policy explains what personal information The Prefer Clinic collects when you book, are treated at the clinic, or contact us; why we need it; who sees it; how long we keep it; and your rights under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) ("PDPA").
Who is responsible for your data
The Prefer Clinic, 338/10 Workplace Phetkasem 81-2, Soi Phetkasem 81, Nong Khang Phlu, Nong Khaem, Bangkok 10160, Thailand, is the data controller: the clinic decides how your information is used and is responsible for it. Questions about your data go to the clinic; see "How to ask" below.
What we collect
- Contact details: your name, phone number and email.
- Booking details: the treatment, date and time you ask for, and anything you write in the notes box.
- Consultation and treatment records: the doctor's assessment, your treatment plan, the treatments you receive, and the health information you share with us (such as pregnancy, medication or allergies).
- Photos: before and after photos for your treatment record, only with your consent.
- Clinic card, if you register one: your contact details, a 4-digit PIN for check-in, and your visits.
- Payments: what you paid, when and how (including a PromptPay slip if you send one), and the details you give us for a tax invoice if you ask for one.
- Messages: what you send us through the Contact page, by email or on LINE.
Why we use it
- To arrange your bookings: to confirm, change or cancel them.
- To treat you safely: the doctor needs your health history and what was done at earlier visits.
- To contact you about your booking or your treatment.
- To keep payment and tax records, as the law requires.
- To answer your questions.
Health information is sensitive data under the PDPA. We use it only for your care, with your consent, or where the law requires it.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their marketing.
Who sees it
- The doctor and clinic staff, as far as their work needs it.
- Companies that provide services to us: hosting this website and its database, sending email, and an AI service that may help us answer questions in the site chat and by email. They may use your data only to provide that service to us.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
Some of these providers store data outside Thailand; our database, for example, is hosted in Singapore.
Cookies and tracking
The site stores only what it needs to work: your language choice and the site chat conversation are saved in your own browser, and clinic staff have a sign-in session. The company that hosts this website counts page visits for us (which page, the country and the kind of device), without cookies and without anything that identifies you. There are no advertising trackers or social-media pixels.
If you reach the site from a link in one of our ads, your browser remembers which ad for up to 30 days, and it is saved with a booking you make, so we can see which ads bring patients. Nothing is sent to an advertising network.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as it is needed for your care, and for as long as Thai law requires (for example, medical and tax records). Information we no longer need is deleted.
Your rights under the PDPA
- Access: ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your information, where the law allows. Medical and tax records may have to be kept for a period the law sets.
- Withdrawing consent: withdraw any consent you gave, for example for photos, at any time. This does not affect what was done before.
- Complaint: complain to Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee.
How to ask
Send us a message through our Contact page (choose "Data / Privacy Inquiry"), message us on LINE @tpfc789, or call 096-328-2555. Please give the name and phone number you booked with, so we can find your records. We may need to confirm it is you before we share or change anything.
Security
Staff must sign in to see clinic records, access is limited by role, and the database is encrypted at rest by its host.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
